The Wine & Spirit Trade Association works with its members to improve standards across the industry and share best practice. Businesses operating in the production, marketing and sale of alcohol in the UK are under increasing pressure from the Government and the media to demonstrate that they are working to reduce alcohol-related harm. This ‘social responsibility’ agenda is not new, but is increasingly high profile.
The WSTA has recently published ‘WSTA Toolkit: Social Responsibility’ that covers everything from advice on how to establish a social responsibility policy to best practice guides on labelling, advertising, marketing and websites, together with a section on responsible retailing.
